Mine + Farm originates from a personal recipe of shared experiences and beliefs; shaped by travel, nature, unexpected moments......and a love of design that threads it all together.
Our vision is to create meaningful travel experiences for our guests through approachable design and helpful service. We believe good design should be woven into everyday life and hospitality service should be friendly, non-intrusive and have a locals' perspective. Whenever possible, we feature made in California craft, local purveyors, and what we can seasonally source on site.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Mine + Farm Inn has a naturally designed landscape ecosystem that is vibrant and diverse with flowers, fauna, birds and other wildlife, allowing for a natural outside-inside flow.
Good Times
There’s lots of great things to do in the area, but you can also just kick back and enjoy the Inn. The two-plus acreage is designed to maximize the physical spaces.
- Show off your game skills at our regulation size horseshoe pit, croquet and bocce ball + numerous board games
- Work remotely inside or outside with super fast internet and a carafe of local organic coffee
- Explore and identify the property’s rich flora and fauna and find your own private space for yoga or meditation
- Take Fido for a stroll through the property and adjoining path next to Korbel’s vineyards
- Take a walk down to the Russian River…only six minutes away on foot
- Have that ‘lazy Sunday’ and grab a book or magazine from our curated selection (fiction, local history, design, travel) of good reads
Yummy Sonoma Breakfast
Our approach to food is simple - it should be good. We want your breakfast to be a yummy, organic and locally-sourced experience. We serve you food you can feel good about - and that won’t stop you from going on that post-breakfast hike. Inspired by Northern California farmhouse fare, you can expect farm-fresh eggs from our own flock, seasonal produce that’s grown on the property, and meats, breads and produce from nearby Sonoma purveyors. Sample breakfast items include: housemade juices and granola, chia puddings, herbed egg dishes, grass-fed bacon and sausages from Sonoma Meat Company, avocado toast, and Taylor Lane organic coffee. We happily offer vegan and gluten-free options with advance notification.
Unfussy Design
Clean, modern, unfussy. We believe in the value of good design and feature thoughtfully crafted items throughout the Inn where form follows function. We take our inspiration from the hues of Northern California, mid-century modern, warm farmhouse elements, and a touch of whimsy from our own travel experiences.
Homestead History
The Inn's main house, built by Louis E. Ridenhour, will celebrate its 115th birthday in 2021. The Ridenhour family came from Missouri and homesteaded 944 acres on both sides of the Russian River in the mid-19th century. They planted the land mostly with hops and general produce. It wasn't until 1977 that the property became an inn after a pharmacist and his partner from Corte Madera, CA purchased it and began its' transition from a ranch farm into a hospitality property.
